STORRS, Conn. - The No. 25 UConn baseball team earned Top 25 recognition this week from Baseball America. It is the first time the Huskies have been in the Top 25 poll for Baseball America since June 30, 2011 after the Huskies finished the season #12 in the poll after making its first trip to the NCAA Super Regionals.
UConn (19-10, 6-0 American) have swept its first two conference series of the season at No. 16/25 East Carolina and home against Memphis. The Huskies prepare for a midweek game Tuesday, April 11 against Bryant before heading on the road for a three-game set in New Orleans to play Tulane, beginning on Thursday, April 13.
The Huskies have won 12-straight conference regular season games dating back to last season and have won 16 of 17 conference games including the conference tournament.
The Huskies were also recognized by Collegiate Baseball in their Top 30 rankings. The Huskies are slotted at 27 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.
