Kevin Ollie, UConn Head Coach

On tonight's game:

"I thought we came out with some passes, our free throws were exceptional, we executed down the stretch defensively and offensively. We were able to come out with a huge win, UCF is playing incredible and I am proud of my guys and how we followed the plan and executed tonight."

On steals:

"We just want to have active hands. I think we've been stealing the ball really well this whole season, we just want to continue that and be active. I thought they did a really, really good job."

On Christian’s overall effort tonight:

"Christian has been there the whole season, he is competing and I love it when he's out there"

Johnny Dawkins, UCF Head Coach

On UConn’s defense:

"I thought they were locked in, played really good defensively, they set a good tone right from the start. They were focused and locked in on the defensive end."

On needing more to get over the hump to win the game:

"We were right there a few times, but every time we were right there someone stepped up and made a big play. That's what really talented players do and they have really good guards."

Christian Vital, UConn Guard

On the win:

"I think it can do a lot for us, it shows us that we can compete on any given night. It doesn't matter who the other team is and if we do the things that we need to take care of and look out for each other there's not many games we should lose in this conference."

On team’s composure:

"They were just trying to get us out of our game because they knew they were going to have a tough one tonight being at Gampel. The fans did a heck of a job tonight supporting us and we appreciate them for coming out. We know that we dropped a few games and some fans may be questioning but the team is still sticking together. We're just going to stick with each other and try to keep this momentum going."

Jalen Adams, UConn Guard

On the win:

"It was a huge win for us, we needed that win to build momentum as we go on this conference road trip."

On the defensive effort:

"The team played way better defense. I think we held them to 36% from the field. That's huge for us. I think we're kind of getting back to our defensive ways from the start of the season."

Isaiah Whaley, UConn Forward

On Tacko Fall:

"We had to double him and not let him get comfortable. The plan was to rush him every time he touched the ball and make him uncomfortable."
