UConn Head Coach Kevin Ollie

On his team's performance

"It's a beautiful thing when you compete and have fun and no one was worrying about minutes and everyone stepped up and played with relentless effort. Our defensive effort was great, they (SMU) shot 50% most of the game and then we just started buckling down when there were winning moments."

On the atmosphere tonight and his team's mood

"It was a great crowd. When we were down or when SMU got close, everybody stood on their feet so it was great to be in that atmosphere. We're going to continue to climb together and not let anybody or anything distract us."

Freshman Guard Jalen Adams

On Amida Brimah

“He played great. He was catching every alley-oop, blocking every shot, and rebounding. There was anything he didn’t do. He brought energy to the team and he just played great tonight.”

On team gaining confidence after win

“Beating a top-25 team always gives a team confidence. Especially after winning at home and then going on the road. We have to build on this win and keep rolling.”

Sophomore Forward Daniel Hamilton

On winning two close games in a row

“We are showing that we are keeping our composure. It was too bad we couldn’t close out the Temple game but recently we’ve been showing that we can keep a lead, close out a game, and have good wins.”

On Amida Brimah

“He was unbelievable tonight. He was blocking, but not only that he changed a whole lot of shots out there tonight.”

Junior Center Amida Brimah

On staying out of foul trouble

“I was surprised that I didn’t have any fouls in the first half. I came back in the second and played my heart out.”

On teaming being different with his presence in the lineup

“This is team is a great team with me out without me. When I am on the court I just try to be a good motivator and help my team do better.”
