UConn Head Coach Kevin Ollie

On the team’s performance

“When we started cleaning things up in the second half, we started playing better. What we try to do every game is take away their commander, and we thought Croone was their commander. Rodney took him completely out of the game. I love our assist to turnover ratio. To have 20 assists and five turnovers was remarkable. We got a lot of positive things from everyone.”

On the contributions from the bench

“They have given us an enormous contribution. Different people stepped up and contributed for us. Omar came in, hit two threes, and play a great floor game. I believe it was his best game in a Husky jersey.”

Furman Head Coach Niko Medved

On Furman shooting a significant amount of three pointers

“We shot too many threes today, especially early. They are a team that is difficult to score in the paint. They are a team that needs to be played off of penetration, get it to the paint, and then kick it out. A lot of good shooters missed open shots today. We did look very tired. This was our third game this week. Our guys did flow well on offense which did help, however shooting 36 three pointers is a lot. “

On today’s takeaway

“We took very good care of the ball. We only turned it over four times in the second half. We even had a run where we didn’t turn it over for a long stretch. We moved the ball very well. This was also the first game all year where we had all eleven guys available to play. We are still trying to figure ourselves ou

On Michigan and the upcoming tournament

"We will definitely be ready by game day."
