UConn Prepares For NCAA Tournament Second Round Game Against Saint Joseph's

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team held two practices on Wednesday in preparation for its NCAA Tournament Second Round game against Saint Joseph’s tomorrow night.

The Huskies practiced at the University of Buffalo basketball facility at 12:30 p.m., and later that day they participated in a practice open to the media and local fans at the First Niagara Center, where they will face the Hawks tomorrow. Prior to the open practice, UConn seniors Shabazz Napier (Roxbury, Mass.) and Niels Giffey (Berlin, Germany) and Connecticut men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie took questions from reporters in the media interview room for about 15 minutes. The media also had a chance to speak with other players in the locker room for 30 minutes before practice began.

UConn’s game against Saint Joseph’s is set to tip off at 6:55 p.m. tomorrow and it can be seen on TBS and heard on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. The Huskies are 4-2 all-time against the Hawks and 0-1 against them in NCAA Tournament play.
