HARTFORD, Copn. -
The University of Connecticut men's and women's basketball, football and field hockey teams were honored at the State Capitol on Tuesday afternoon as the annual Husky Day celebration took place.
The teams each visited Governor Dannel Malloy in his office and then were honored with a ceremony in the Hall of Flags where various members of the Connecticut General Assembly spoke along with coaches Geno Auriemma, Kevin Ollie, Bob Diaco and Nancy Stevens.
Husky Day is a tradition which dates back to the mid-1990s.
