PRINCETON, N.J. - The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team will play against Boston College in the semifinals of the 19th annual 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Nov. 21. The other semifinal will feature Indiana and Washington with a consolation and championship game on Friday, Nov. 22. Both games of the semifinal doubleheader will be televised by ESPN2 with the UConn-BC game at 7:00 p.m. The consolation game on Friday will begin at 5:00 p.m. on ESPNU with the championship to follow on ESPN2.

After playing a pair of regional round games on campus, the four schools will head to Madison Square Garden for the semifinals and finals. UConn will be facing Boston College for the 90th time in series history, but the first since January 2005.
The complete bracket and additional television information for the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project will be announced at a later date. That announcement will include two games that UConn will play host to.
The mission of Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is to honor and empower wounded warriors. WWP's purpose is to raise awareness and to enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. WWP is a national, nonpartisan organization headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Northeast Conference (NEC) is the sponsoring conference of the 2K Sports Classic.
