Looking Back at 2015 First Night

Oct. 19, 2015

STORRS, Conn. - On Friday, the UConn men's and women's basketball programs participated in their annual First Night even in front of a packed-house (10,167) at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

The night featured a player autograph session, a performance by the Connecticut Drumline, crowd giveaways and a 20-minute scrimmage between Team Kevin and Team Geno, which were previously determined by a fan vote.

Following player introductions, men's basketball coach Kevin Ollie and women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma addressed the fans before the scrimmage began. Ollie thanked the UConn faithful for sticking with the team last season while Auriemma discussed how other venues have great fans but nothing can compare to UConn.

Team Geno topped Team Kevin, 63-56, in the mixed-squad scrimmage. Senior forward Phil Nolan led the way with 10 points for Team Geno, while redshirt-freshman guard Terry Larrier chipped in 10 points.
