STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's basketball teams plays its second and final exhibition game of the season on Sunday at the XL Center as the Huskies take on UMass Lowell at 1:00 p.m.
UMass Lowell is a member of the Northeast-10 Conference and was picked second in the league's preseason poll. UMass Lowell returns three starters and nine veterans from the 2011-12 team which went 19-11 overall (13-9 in the NE-10/fourth place), reached the NE-10 Tournament final and secured its fourth NCAA Tournament bid in as many years.
The Huskies are coming off a 78-63 exhibition win over AIC on Thursday night at Gampel Pavilion.

Sunday will be a special day in Hartford as New England's largest salute to veterans will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the 2012 Connecticut Veterans Parade. The 13th annual parade will step off near the State Capitol Building in Hartford. Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to come and show their appreciation to veterans and active personnel from many conflicts.
Husky fans are also encouraged to attend a Wreath-Laying Ceremony to remember veterans will be held at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park at 11:30 a.m., before the parade.
The 2012 Parade Grand Marshal is Lieutenant Colonel Michael Zacchea of Brookfield, a veteran of the U.S. Marines who runs the University of Connecticut's Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities, and is director of veterans' outreach and support for UConn's Graduate School of Business.
UConn fans attending the game are asked to plan your travel plans in advance and leave plenty of time to get into the XL Center.
