> Kevin Ollie has improved his overall record as Head Coach of Connecticut to 23-10, after posting a 20-10 record last year.

> UConn has continued its streak of never losing its Gampel Pavilion opener. The Huskies have now won 25 consecutive opening games at Gampel.

> Connecticut improved its overall record at Gampel to 150-23 since the building opened in 1990. UConn sits at 73-4 against non-league competition.

> Coming into tonight's contest, UConn's Niels Giffey had a career high of 15 points. Giffey netted 15 points in the first half going five of six from the floor and finishing the night tying his career high at 15.

> The Huskies went on to outscore the Titans 46 to 22 in the paint for the night's contest. Connecticut's bench also outscored Detroit 47 to 26.

> With 13:41 remaining in the first, Detroit held their largest lead of the night at six points. Connecticut's largest lead came with 1:11 remaining in the second half; the lead was 46.

> Shabazz Napier moved to 9th all-time in assists with 476 in his Connecticut career.

> Detroit was led by Matthew Grant with 15 points, shooting four of nine from the floor. Juwan Howard, Jr. added 14 points.

> Omar Calhoun's 17 points fell five short of his career high 22. He led all Connecticut scorers.

> The Huskies finished with six players in double-digit scoring (Daniels, Boatright, Napier, Calhoun, Giffey, and Olander).

> Connecticut's 46 point victory was the first time since 2009 that the Huskies have won by a 40-point margin. It marks the first time the Huskies have done so under Kevin Ollie's tenure.



> With the exception of Pat Lenehan, every member of the Connecticut men's basketball team registered a point in the contest.

> UConn registered 16 points off of turnovers to Detroit's 8.

> Amida Brimah has 14 blocks in 53 minutes this season. He is responsible for 12 of 24 UConn blocks on the season.

> Detroit registered a 14 to 11 advantage in offensive rebounds, however the Huskies held an 11 to 4 edge in second-chance points.

> The Huskies have registered back to back games scoring at least ten three-pointers (against both Yale and Detroit).
