Ben Chapman begins his first season as an offensive graduate assistant, working with the offensive line, for the UConn football team. Chapman, who earned his bachelor’s degree in social science and sport from the University of Connecticut in 2012, returns to the Huskies after spending the 2017 season as assistant defensive line coach at Stonehill College in Easton Mass.
Prior to his time at Stonehill, Chapman was a graduate assistant coach for the inside linebackers at Castleton University in Castleton, Vt. and spent the 2013 and 2013 seasons as the offensive and defensive lines assistant coach at Stonington High School.
Chapman spent March-September 2013 in Melbourne, Australia as a player/assistant offensive and defensive line coach for the Monash Warriors Football Team.
During his time as an undergrad at UConn, he was an assistant to the recruiting department during the 2011 and 2012 seasons and was a member of the scout team from 2008-11. Chapman was a member of UConn teams that earned spots in the 2009 International Bowl, the 2010 Papa John’s Bowl and the 2011 Fiesta Bowl and was part of the squad that won the 2010 Big East Championship.
