Career: Has punted in all 26 of UConn's games over the past two years ... enters the 2009 season with a 40.3 yard per punt career average, which is the highest in school history ... his 134 career punts is tenth in school history while his 5,406 yards is eighth.
2008: Starting punter for the entire season ... had a long of 55 and 24 inside the 20-yard line ... Picked up two special teams game balls this year in wins over Virginia (Sept. 13) and Louisville (Sept. 26) ... Averaged 44.0 yards on five punts against the Cardinals with a long of 52 and two inside the 20-yard line ... Put both his punts inside the 20 against the Cavaliers.
2007: Turned in one of the best seasons in UConn history in his first year as a starter, averaging 40.7 yards on his 75 punts ... Holder for the field goal unit ... Also handled kickoffs and had 11 touchbacks out of his 74 boots ... Averaged 43.7 yards on seven punts against Wake Forest (Dec. 29) ... Punted a career-high 10 times at Cincinnati (Nov. 10) and averaged 44.5 yards on those kicks ... Had perhaps his best game at Virginia (Oct. 13) where he averaged a season-high 49.0 yards per punt, including a career-long boot of 60 yards, while also picking up a pair of touchbacks on five kickoffs ... Averaged 47.5 yards on his five punts against Akron (Sept. 29) ... Killed four punts inside the 20-yard line at Pittsburgh (Sept. 22) ... Earned the team's special teams game ball at Duke (Sept. 1) from his first game as a punter after averaging 39.4 yards per punt, booming a pair of touchbacks and holding for Tony Ciaravino's three successful field goals and four PAT conversions.
2006: Saw action in five games on kickoffs ... Made a pair of tackles in coverage, a solo at Rutgers (Oct. 29) and an assist against Rhode Island (Aug. 31).
High School: Was used in high school for kickoffs, field goals and punts ... In his senior year had four kickoffs go through the goalposts and had only three kickoffs returned ... Averaged 43 yards per punt in his senior year and, in one game, had seven punts for a 49-yard average ... Earned All-District, All-Region and All-County honors in junior and senior years ... An All-State honorable mention pick as a senior ... Also played soccer and was a part of his regional Olympic Development Program.
