On what he thought of the game:
"I thought it was good. Again it is one of those days where we are going against each other. There's going to be some good things that happen and some things that you need to get better at. I thought that we were a little bit uptight, there were a few too many penalties early on. I thought we overcame that but again just another opportunity to evaluate all these guys, to see where they are to know what we can and can not do with them. Also now, be able to say 'ok we know we are going to have some guys in the freshman class that are probably going to get a little bit more of an opportunity than maybe we thought or maybe they thought. All in all, it's a great day, great weather, nice turnout, we've been blessed.
On if he liked what he saw from Mike Tarbutt
"Yeah I did, we worked on that. He didn't pass that test during a couple of other scrimmages we had so today you come out and put him through that and all these things that we did today, the number of two-minute stuff that we had, situation stuff, you can never get enough of that. To put him in that situation again today, out here in front of people. Those are the things you have to do in order to help those young men get better.
On Pindell improving:
"He is getting better at it and he is working on those things. The thing is I think we have a really good understanding of what he does really well. We are going to take advantage of that. He has been a guy that has worked very diligently if you tell him there is something you have to work on, he is going to go do it. You don't have to worry about him slacking off and not doing what he is supposed to. He is a very prideful young man and he wants to be really good, so when you tell him things, he is going to go do them, and do them to the best of his ability."
On Aaron McLean:
"He is going to end up having to put on a little more weight and getting a little bit stronger, because some of the things we are going to ask him to do, and our tight ends to do, they are going to have to block. So the more leg strength he has and added weight will help him be a multi-down player. Again, for us, we are going to make sure we get the best people on the field. When you get into what we call twelve personnel with two tight ends, two wide receivers, and a back you know it can give you some advantages on a defense. He has come a long way, but again, one thing that will help him is to put on a little more weight and get stronger in the weight room."
