Postgame Notes

  • A first quarter interception by senior defensive back Tre Bell was the first pick of his UConn career.
  • Freshman wide receiver Quayvon Skanes second quarter pass completion to Bryant Shirreffs for six yards was the first completed pass of his career. Skanes also set a career-high with 142 kick return yards including a career-long 42-yard kick return.
  • Senior tight end Tommy Myers recorded his first touchdown of the season and third of his UConn with his second quarter touchdown reception.
  • Junior quarterback David Pindell rushed for his first career touchdown on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter.
  • The 95-yard touchdown pass from Quinton Flowers to Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the longest play from scrimmage given up by the Huskies since joining FBS. The previous long came on November 25, 2004 at Rutgers, an 87-yard touchdown pass from Terrance Shawell to Tres Moses.
  • The Huskies finish the year 2-4 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium. It is only the second time in the history of Rentschler Field that the Huskies have had back-to-back losing seasons in East Hartford (2013 & 2014).
