CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior wide receiver Noel Thomas (Norwalk, Conn.) had four receptions on Saturday to give him 91 for the season and set a UConn single-season record in the process as the Huskies dropped a 30-0 decision to Boston College. The game was played before 36,220 at Alumni Stadium in the first game between the two schools, separated by only 90 miles, since 2004. UConn drops to 3-8 on the season while the Eagles are 5-6.
Thomas broke the UConn record of Mark Didio, who had 88 receptions in 1991.
BC quarterback Patrick Towles passed for 183 yards and a touchdown in the game as running back Davon Jones added a rushing score. Eagles' linebacker Matt Milano added a 19-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
UConn freshman quarterback Donovan Williams (Dumfries, Va.) started his second career game and was 13 for 29 in the air for 127 yards.
Senior wide receiver Brian Lemelle (Harrisburg, Pa.) had a personal season-long 43-yard reception for UConn.
UConn ends its season next Saturday when plays host to Tulane for Senior Day at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field at 4 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNews and heard on the UConn IMG Sports Network.
