Daytona, Fla. - UConn senior quarterback Garrett Anderson (Walnut Creek, Calif.) and cornerback Jhavon Williams (Delray Beach, Fla.) accepted invitations to the second annual Tropicana Bowl in Daytona, Fla. on Jan. 15 at 9 a.m.
The Tropicana Bowl allows NFL and CFL scouts to view 120 Division 1 FBS college seniors from around the country.
Anderson played in 11 games in his two year UConn career, highlighted by a 45-yard touchdown pass he threw against nationally ranked Houston en route to an upset victory for the Huskies on Nov. 21, 2015. In that same game Anderson also hauled in a 12-yard reception.
Williams finished his career playing in 47 games for the Huskies. Williams recorded five interceptions, 22 pass breakups and four tackles for loss over his four years in the blue and white. During his freshman year Williams was stellar against No. 14 Michigan, snagging an interception and forcing a fumble.
