HARTFORD, Conn -
The University of Connecticut men’s and women’s basketball and football teams made their annual visit to the State Capitol on Wednesday, April 13 for Husky Day.
Husky Day has been held each year since the early 1990s and is a way for the team to thank the Connecticut General Assembly in everything they do to support the entire University.
Men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie, football coach Bob Diaco and associate head women’s basketball coach Chris Dailey and their teams all made visits to the Connecticut House and Representative and then the Connecticut Senate.
All three coaches made spirited comments in both chambers. Team members in attendance were introduced. Following the visit to both the House and the Senate, the teams took part in a reception and autograph session.
