American Athletic Conference Football Kickoff Underway

NEWPORT, R.I. - College football media days are in full swing as the 2015 season approaches and the American Athletic Conferences is taking it turn this Monday and Tuesday, August 3-4 in Newport, R.I.

There were a session of media interviews on Monday afternoon, followed by the Annual New England Clambake - the most-popular event of any conference media day in the country.

Further media activities will take place on Tuesday morning. Head coach Bob Diaco, redshirt junior offensive tackle Andreas Knappe (Silkeborg, Denmark) and redshirt senior safety Andrew Adams (Fayetteville, Ga.) are representing UConn at the event.

WTIC NewsTalk 1080, the flagship radio station of UConn Athletics, was live in Newport on Monday with the "Joe D. and Gresh Show" featuring the Voice of the Huskies Joe D'Ambrosio and co-host Andy Gresh.
