STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut football team hit the practice field on Wednesday as preseason camp continued for the 2014 season. There was a little different feel in the air as it was the first day in pads, which always brings a sense of anticipation.
The Huskies open the season on Friday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. against BYU at Rentscher Field. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN and heard on the UConn IMG Sports Radio Network.
"They came out to the field with the right body language, demeanor and attitude," said UConn first year head coach Bob Diaco. "They were excited and glad to be out their working as brothers. I have got to believe that everyone left the field better then when the entered it."
