STORRS, Conn. - The UConn football season is now just about two weeks away from starting as the Huskies open the 2016 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 1 against Maine at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
The Huskies play a compelling seven-game home schedule this year and already four of the kickoff times have been announced -- a large number for any team in the country at this point of the calendar.

Season tickets remain on sale -- including the popular Top of the Rent Season Ticket, which costs just $140 apiece for the entire season. Three and four-game mini-plans are on sale in addition to single-game tickets. The season-opener vs. Maine features several sections of Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field that have tickets for just $15 to enjoy the opener.
UConn's other home games include matchups vs. Virginia (Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m.) and Syracuse (Sept. 24) of the ACC and American Athletic Conference games vs. Cincinnati (Oct. 8 at 11:30 a.m.), Homecoming vs. UCF on Oct. 22, vs. Temple on Friday, Nov. 4 and Tulane on Nov. 26.
There have been a number of changes to the Game Day experience already announced for the 2016 season, including reduced concessions prices on certain items and the ability for Blue pass season ticket holders to park where they would like if they arrive during the first hour of tailgating. Fans can expected to hear more changes and improvements later this week.
