University of Connecticut redshirt senior linebacker Marquise Vann (Cincinnati, Ohio) has been added to the Watch List for the 2015 Lombardi Award. He joins fellow Husky senior linebacker Graham Stewart (Durham, Conn.) on this list. Stewart was named to the original Watch List in mid-July.
Eligibility for the Rotary Lombardi Award is limited to down linemen, end-to-end, either on offense or defense, who set up no farther than 10 yards to the left or right of the ball, or linebackers who set up no farther than five yards deep from the line of scrimmage. The 46th Rotary Lombardi Award will be held on December 9, 2015 at the Bayou Music Center in Houston, Texas.
Vann has played in 33 games over the last three seasons for the Huskies and started all 12 games last year. He the Huskies with 105 tackles and added seven tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. Vann set career-highs with 14 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss at USF on Sept. 19.
As a sophomore in 2013 he played in eight games with three starts and in 2012 he earned a varsity letter in his first year of collegiate action.
