Golf Finishes Play at Wexford Intercollegiate

Wexford Intercollegiate Results

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The University of Connecticut men’s golf team finished in 15th place at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, hosted by Francis Marion University. The tournament concluded Tuesday and was shortened to two rounds due to inclement weather.

Wake Forest captured the team title by a single shot over Francis Marion, while Davidson College finished third. Lee Bedford of Wake Forest and Jackson Taylor of Davidson tied for individual medalist honors.

UConn finished 15th in the 17-team field and was led by junior Matt Dubrowski, who shot a seven-over 151 for two rounds and finished tied for 33rd place. Sophomore Jeb Buchanan shot a 154 and tied for 48th place.

The Huskies return to action March 12-14 at the Mission Inn Spring Fling at the El Campeon Course in Howey in the Hills, Fla.
