Golf Concludes Competition at Rio Pinar Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Connecticut freshman Jeb Buchanan (Loudonville, N.Y.) led the golf team at the Rio Pinar Invitational. Hosted by the University of Central Florida, the third round concluded on Tuesday at the Rio Pinar Country Club.

Buchanan shot four-over par in the final round of the tournament, finishing the two-day event with a 226. He was tied for 64th overall as the Huskies finished 21st as a team.

The host team, University of Central Florida, won the invitational with a team score of 851 behind a pair of top-five finishing efforts. Blayne Barber held his individual lead through the final day to finish with a score of 204.

UConn returns to Florida for the Ron Smith/USF Invitational March 6-8.
