Dubrowski and Vaccari Lead Golf at BIG EAST

Innisbrook, Fla. - Junior Matt Dubrowski stands in a tie for sixth place and sophomore Adam Vaccari (Winsted, Conn.) tallied a team best even par 71 as the University of Connecticut men's golf team completed in day two of action at the 2010 BIG EAST Conference Championship at the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course.

Georgetown University holds the team lead at 12-over par for two rounds, five shots ahead of St. John's University (+17) and seven shots clear of Seton Hall University and the University of Louisville (each at +19). UConn is among a pack of six teams between fifth and tenth place within six shots of each other. The Huskies stand in ninth place at 26-over par.

Michael Furci of DePaul University shot an even par 71 and holds the individual lead at two-under. Vincenzo Salina of Georgetown is one shot back.

Dubrowski is at three-over for two rounds after shooting a 75 Monday and is tied for sixth place. Vaccari fired a 71 Monday and shooting 76 Sunday and jumped to a tie for 16th place overall.

The tournament finishes with the third and final round Tuesday.
