Verona, N.Y. -- Senior Jeremy Troy stands in a tie for fourth place to help lead the University of Connecticut golf team to a fourth place standing after two rounds of action Sunday at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri, at Turning Stone Resort.
Purdue University leads the team competition with a two round total of 593, holding a 12-shot advantage over Bowling Green (605) and outpacing host Missouri (606). UConn stands in fourth at 609, ahead of Kansas at 610.
Troy shot scores of 75 and 73 and is four shots off the individual lead held by Jacob Ziegler of Oakland University (73-71--144). Fellow UConn senior Matt Dubrowski stands in a tie for ninth place overall after shooting 77-73--150.
The tournament concludes Monday with 18 holes of action.
