Verona, New York - Senior Jeremy Troy shot a final round 73 to finish in a tie for second place individually and lead the University of Connecticut golf team to a fourth place finish after the final round of play Monday at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri, on the Kaluhyat Course at the Turning Stone Resort.

Purdue University (897) captured the team title by three strokes over Missouri (900). Bowling Green (903), UConn (908) and Central Connecticut (914) rounded out the top five.

Troy shot scores of 75, 73 and 73 (221) and finished tied for second place, six shots behind individual champion Jakob Ziegler of Oakland University (73-71-71-215). Fellow UConn senior Matt Dubrowski finished in a tie for seventh place after also shooting 73 Monday and finishing at 223.

UConn returns to action on September 20-21 when it competes in the Adams Cup of Newport.
