GREENSBORO, Ga. - Kyle O'Connor (South Windsor, Conn.) led University of Connecticut golf with a team-best round of 74 on the final day of the Linger Longer Invitational. O'Connor concluded the competition with a final score of 241. The Huskies shot a team score of 307 in the third for their best round of the invitational.
Brian Hwang (Hauppauge, N.Y.), Matt Dubrowski (Bergenfield, N.J.) and Matt Carroll (Heathrow, Fla.) were tied for 54th overall, leading UConn with identical 236 three-round scores. Dubrowski shot his best round of golf on the final day, finishing three-over par in the third round.
Jeb Buchanan (Loudonville, N.Y.) shot four-over par in the second round and concluded the invitational with a score of 239.
Connecticut placed 11th ahead of a pair of BIG EAST schools, finishing three strokes ahead of Cincinnati (12th) and 11 ahead of St. John's (13th). The Huskies return to the course on April 11-12 at the Princeton Invitational.
