Buchanan Leads Men's Golf Into Fourth Place After Two Rounds at the Adams Cup

NEWPORT, R.I. - Jeb Buchanan fired rounds of 71-76 - 147 (+3) to lead the University of Connecticut men's golf team into fourth place after two rounds at the Adams Cup, which is being played at the par-72, 7,244 Newport National Golf Club in Newport, R.I.

Buchanan, who is the defending champion of the Adams Cup, is four shots behind Central Florida's Greg Eason. Eason shot 74-69 - 143 (-1) on Monday. UCF leads the event after shooting rounds of 295-286 - 581 while the Huskies fired 298-301 - 599.

Chris DeLucia carded rounds of 73-75 - 148 (+4) and is in a tie for eighth place. Brian Hughes posted a pair of solid 75's and is in a tie for 16th while Jeremy Troy shot 79-73 - 154 (+9) to finish the second round in a tie for 34th.

The 17-team field is set to complete the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday.
