    Huskies Finish Ninth at McLaughlin Tournament

    FARMINGDALE, NY (September 28, 2001) -- Paced by top-20 finisher senior Sean Vigue (Lebanon, CT), the University of Connecticut men’s golf team finished in ninth place at the 2001 McLaughlin Tournament, held by St. John’s, with a final score of 901 (300-299-302). Rollins College took the event with a score of 848 behind five top-20 performances.

    Vigue finished the two-day event with a total score of 219 (71-71-77) for a 15th-place finish. The final four Huskies didn’t fare as well, the highest finish being a tie for 38th place. The final individual results are as follows:
