Brent Norris Nets Both UConn Goals
Huskies sweep weekend to improve to 2-2-1 on the season and 2-0 in league.
2013-2014 (Freshman Season): Played in 28 games during his rookie season...Finished sixth on the team in scoring with 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists...Led all UConn freshmen in scoring...Tied for 12th in Atlantic Hockey among rookie scorers...Finished second on the team with three game-winning goals...Finished the year with a +2 rating...Had five multi-point games...Recorded a career-high three points on a goal, the game-winner, and two assists in an 8-1 win at AIC (Nov. 23)...Scored the game-winner and added an assist when Huskies returned to AIC later in the season for a 3-2 win (Jan. 24)...Had the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win at Army (Feb. 22)...Scored a pair of power play goals on the year.
Before UConn: Has spent the last four seasons with the Nepean Raiders on three different levels, including the last two years in the CCHL...helped lead Nepean to the 2012 CCHL title by posting a 14-15-29 line in 23 playoff games, including six goals in five games in the Fred Page Cup...in 60 career CCHL games, scored 32 goals and added 39 assists to finish with 71 points, 1.18 per game...also made a brief USHL stint, skating in 15 games for the Youngstown Phantoms in 2011-12 and scoring two goals...was a member of the Canada East U19 team at the World Junior A Challenge-19, where he tallied two assists in five contests.
