2014-2015 (Junior Season): Played in 34 games his junior year...Made nine starts at right wing...Scored two goals with six assists on the year...His six helpers marked a new career high...Scored the lone goal as the Huskies earned a 1-1 tie with Rensselaer at home (Nov. 18)...Scored his second goal of the season in a 5-2 loss at New Hampshire in the Hockey East playoffs (Mar. 6).
2013-2014 (Sophomore Season): Played in 35 games...Missed just the regular season finale at Sacred Heart...Earned 11 starting assignments...Recorded eight points on three goals and five assists...A key cog on the Husky penalty kill units and has recorded 23 blocked shots on the year...Scored a career-high two goals in a 5-0 win at Holy Cross, his third career multi-point game (Feb. 15)...Had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win at home over Holy Cross (Nov. 12)...Picked-up an assist in a 2-1 win over future Hockey East foe UMass (Dec. 30)...The line of Patrick Kirtland, Ryan Tyson and Joey Ferriss played together in a team-high 17 games, with the Huskies posting a 9-6-2 record in those games.
2012-2013 (Freshman Season): Appeared in 17 games as a rookie... Totaled six points on four goals and two assists... Had a season high two points including one goal and an assist against Bentley (Feb. 11)... Scored a goal in back to back to back games played including game winners at Sacred Heart (March 2)and in the first game of the AHA Quarterfinal (March 15), also scored in the second game of the quarterfinals against Robert Morris (March 16).
Before UConn: Spent one season with the Michigan Warriors of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) after playing two years at Novi High School for former UConn All-American and Hartford Whaler draft pick Todd Krygier '88...Recorded 41 points on 14 goals and 27 assists in 2011-12 for the Warriors, earning a spot at the NAHL Top Prospects Showcase...Two-time All-State selection in Michigan in 2010 and 2011...Captained his team to the state championship in 2010-11.
