His father was a 1989 draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings and played 121 games in the NHL with the Kings, Winnipeg Jets and Arizona Coyotes...His dad currently serves as head coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL and was formerly an assistant coach with the New York Islanders from 2012-14...He is an exploratory major.
