ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The UConn men's hockey team fell at RIT on Saturday night, 7-1. The Huskies took two points on the weekend after beating RIT on Friday, 3-1. UConn fell to 11-12-3 (8-9-2 AHA). RIT improved to 9-12-5 (7-8-4 AHA).

UConn and RIT played to a scoreless first period with RIT holding a 13-7 edge in shots.

The Tigers tallied four straight goals in the second period before the Huskies finally broke through. Jordan Sims scored on the power play at 19:26 but that was all UConn would manage throughout the game. He was assisted by Brant Harris and Alex Gerke.

RIT added three more in the third period to make complete the 7-1 victory.

Garrett Bartus allowed all seven goals in 50:49. Matt Grogan came on for the final 9:11, making two saves.

UConn will play at Bentley on Friday at 7:05 p.m. before hosting the Falcons in Storrs on Saturday at the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum.
