- The University of Connecticut men's hockey team fell 6-0 to Canisius Friday in Buffalo. The Griffs used a three goal second period to propel themselves past UConn. The Huskies fall to 2-7-0 on the season and 2-2 in Atlantic Hockey. Canisius is 4-3-2 overall and 3-1-1

Six Griffs scored during the game with Matt Zuke getting the first, and ultimately the game-winning goal at 13:21 in the first period. Dave Kostuch, Wes Love, and Carl Hudson all netted goals for Canisius during the second period. Brandon Cummings and Josh Heidinger added insurance goals in the third to put the Griffs up by six.

UConn managed 13 shots on goal but did hold Canisius to only 26 shots on goal during the game -- the Huskies lowest amount of shots on goal allowed during a game this season.

The Huskies are back in action Sunday afternoon at Canisius with a 3:30 start time.
