After dropping a tough 3-1 result last night to the Falcons, the Huskies wasted little time opening the scoring with Daniel Naurato notching his second goal of the season 18 seconds into the action after passes from senior Marcello Ranallo and freshman Joe Budnick.

Air Force responded with two power-play goals to go ahead 2-1. Kyle DeLaurell evened the score at 1-1 at 1:47 before Chad Demers put the Falcons ahead at 15:43.

Connecticut found the equalizer with a short-handed goal off the stick of reigning AHA Player of the Week Alex Gerke at 17:18. It marked the first short-handed goal for UConn since February 4 of last season.

The Huskies took their second lead of the night with Miles Winter's second goal of the season 8:26 into the middle stanza. He was assisted by Cody Sharib and Tom Janosz.

Air Force would go on to take the lead for good with back-to-back goals by Tim Kirby.

Kirby found the equalizer at 18:36 of the second before notching the game-winning goal on the power play 5:35 into the final period.

The Huskies had two power plays in the final seven minutes but failed to find the game-tying goal.

Bartus finished the game with 23 saves while Air Force netminder Stephen Caple notched 23 stops in the victory.

UConn will host conference foe RIT on Friday and Saturday, December 3 and 4. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m. UConn will be looking for revenge against Rochester after falling to the Tigers in the AHA playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
