Men's Hockey Looks To Continue Winning Ways at Robert Morris

Connecticut (7-8-2, 4-6-1 AHA) has won two straight and three of the last four. Most recently, UConn swept Penn State. Following those two victories, senior goaltender Garrett Bartus was tabbed AHA Goaltender of the Week and freshman Shawn Pauly was named AHA Rookie of the Week.

Friday's game will be the first on the road since November 17 following a nine-game home stand in which UConn finished 5-3-1, including 3-2-1 in AHA action. This season, UConn sits at just 1-5-0 on the road compared to 6-4-2 at home.

Robert Morris (10-5-2, 5-4-1 AHA) has gone 6-1-2 in the last nine games, including victories over Miami, Ohio State and Penn State. The Colonials are receiving votes in the latest national poll after being ranked No. 18 two weeks ago.

Robert Morris joined the AHA at the start of the 2010-11 season and owns a 4-0 record against Connecticut. Last season, UConn fell behind 4-0 in the first game of the weekend series and rallied for three straight but fell just short of the comeback attempt.

In four games against RMU, Bartus has tallied a 3.69 goals against average and a .902 save percentage. For his career, Bartus owns a 2.95 GAA and a .913 save percentage. In his senior year, Bartus has registered a 2.43 GAA based on a .923 save percentage. Junior assistant captain Billy Latta leads all UConn skaters all-time against RMU with three goals, three assists and six points, including two power-play goals.
