    Men's Hockey Falls On The Road For The Second Straight Game To Quinnipiac 4-1
    In a homecoming event for assistant coach, Joe Dumais (a 2006 graduate of Quinnipiac University), the University of Connecticut men's hockey team fell to the home team 4-1 in regulation.

    STORRS, Conn. - The UConn men’s hockey program will face No. 2 Quinnipiac in the final nonconference game of the season on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game will be televised live on WCCT TV throughout Connecticut. Quinnipiac is on a 16-game unbeaten streak. 

    Bill Schweizer will have the play-by-play and will be joined by color analyst Rich Coppola for Tuesday's game between the Bobcats and Huskies on WCCT-TV. Bill Mecca will provide the sideline report.

    Connecticut most recently split a series at home with Mercyhurst.  On the season, UConn sits at 9-10-2 (6-8-1 AHA) while Quinnipiac owns the highest winning percentage in the nation behind a record of 17-3-3 (11-0-1 ECAC). 

    Since the team’s first win of the season on Nov. 9, the Huskies are 9-6-1, including a tie with No. 8 Union and a 3-1 victory at Merrimack.  Sean Ambrosie leads all UConn skaters with 18 points on six goals and 12 assists.

    UConn has already secured the best nonconference record in program history with a 3-2-1 mark entering the game on Tuesday.  Since joining Division I in 1998-99, the previous high was a 3-5-2 record set in 2003-04.

    The Bobcats have been off since a come-from-behind 3-2 victory at home over Union on January 12.  Quinnipiac was down 2-0 in the first period and scored three third period goals to earn the victory.

    Quinnipiac is led by senior goaltender Eric Hartzell’s.  Hartzell ranks second in the NCAA with a 1.48 goals against average behind the nation’s 11th best save percentage at .933.
