HAVERHILL, Mass. (March 2, 2009) - After posting a 1-0-1 record against Bentley this past weekend, junior Beau Erickson (Hinton, Iowa) has been named Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week. This is Erickson's first Goaltender of the Week nod this season, and the third of his career. Erickson has also been named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week during his sophomore season and Rookie of the Week in his freshman campaign.

During the weekend series with Bentley, Erickson stopped 56 of 59 shots on goal posting a 1.44 GAA. He had a .949 save percentage in nearly 125 minutes between the pipes for the Huskies. The 56 saves made this weekend boosted him up over the 2,400 mark for career saves in a Husky uniform, which now stands at 2,431.

Erickson held his opponents scoreless in their six power play opportunities on the weekend.

He and the Huskies are back in action this Saturday, March 7 at Sacred Heart in the first round of the Atlantic Hockey Tournament. The game will be held at the Milford Ice Pavilion and has a 7:05 p.m. start time.
