Resilient Huskies Win Back-To-Back | Berard Coaching Road Takes Unexpected Turn

STORRS, Conn. -The University of Connecticut men's hockey team will travel to Waltham, Mass. to face the Bentley Falcons at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday night. Saturday's game can be heard live on WHUS.org. with a live video stream linked to uconnhuskies.com provided by America One.

On Friday night, the Huskies recorded their first win of the 2012-13 campaign as five different skaters scored in a convincing 5-3 home victory over Sacred Heart. Alex Gerke and Billy Latta each tallied two assists while goaltender Garrett Bartus notched his 36th victory at Connecticut to become UConn's all-time leader.

Connecticut carried the momentum from Friday's result into Saturday and defeated Merrimack 3-1 in North Andover, Mass. Senior Captain Sean Ambrosie led the way with an assist and the game-winning goal with just under four minutes played in the final period.

On the weekend, the Huskies had 15 of 18 skaters notch a point.

Connecticut enters the game at 2-4-1 (1-3-0 AHA) and the Falcons stand at 3-4-0 (2-2-0 AHA). The Falcons dropped their last game at Holy Cross and two of the last three. Last season Bentley swept the Huskies, including two games at Freitas Ice Forum.
