STORRS, Conn. - UConn senior Carlos Alvarez has established himself as one of the top attacking midfielders at the MLS Combine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Combine leads up to the 2013 SuperDraft that will take place on January 17 in Indianapolis (12 p.m. ET).
The first-overall selection will be broadcast live on ESPN SportsCenter at noon ET. Fans will then be able to watch the entire draft live on ESPN3, ESPNFC, MLSsoccer.com, MLS club websites and YouTube.
Alvarez has been rumored to go as high as No. 2 overall to Chivas USA. Chivas is based out of Carson, Calif. a suburb of Alvarez’s home town of Los Angeles. CLICK HERE to read a story on Alvarez and his connection to Chivas USA.
