STORRS, Conn. - The 5th Annual UConn Men's Soccer Golf Tournament is set to take place on Monday, June 1 at the Lake of Isles Golf Course at Foxwoods Casino in North Stonington, Conn.
This year's event, which will be held at the South Course at the Lake of Isles, will once again feature a 4-plater Best Ball format. Registration for the tournament takes place in the morning (10-11:50 a.m.), and the action gets underway at noon with a shotgun start. Lunch is available throughout the afternoon before the dinner and awards portion of the day begins at 5 p.m.
The top-three finishing teams for low gross score and low net will all take home prizes, and there will be additional contests for Longest and Straightest Drives and Closet to the Pin.
Participants in the tournament will also have the opportunity to meet a variety of special guests throughout the day. Past competitors include men's basketball coach Kevin Ollie, men's hockey coach Mike Cavanaugh and Athletics Director Warde Manuel. Former Connecticut basketball standout Donny Marshall and men's basketball associate head coach Glen Miller have also competed in the annual event.
Those interested in playing this year can fill out a registration form HERE. The entry fee is $2,200 for a foursome and a single player can pay $600 to enter the tournament.
Entry fees can be paid via check or credit card, and interested participants can also pay online HERE. Donations are also welcome, and all proceeds will go to benefit the UConn men's soccer program, which captured its ninth-ever conference regular season title this past fall.
