STORRS, Conn. -
For the second-straight year, UConn men's soccer associate head coach Mike Miller has been named one of the top assistants in the country by College Soccer News, as he prepares to enter his third season with the program in 2018.

Miller, who has earned a reputation as a top national recruiter, boasts over a decade of coaching experience with stops at Evansville, Syracuse, Duke and UConn - including a stint as a domestic scout for Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer.

He is one of 13 assistant coaches to earn recognition by College Soccer News when the honors were announced on Monday, while one of just two coaches from the American Athletic Conference to have a spot on the list.

"A huge thank you to College Soccer News for including me again in this list of exceptional coaches," said Miller. "I feel very fortunate to work here at UConn with Coach Reid and our outstanding student-athletes. Working with Coach has been an incredible experience and I'm very much looking forward to our upcoming season."

Coaches from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Big Ten Conference, and Pac-12 Conference were included on the list of Top Assistants, in addition to Miller and SMU's Dustin Norman from the American.

"Mike has done a fantastic job at UConn," said Reid, who enters his 22nd season at UConn. "He is a great recruiter, very thorough on the field and does a great job communicating with all of our players. He has been a great addition to our staff."

Six Huskies were named to All-Conference teams at the conclusion of the 2017 regular season under Miller's guidance, including a pair of First Team players in Abdou Mbacke Thiam and Jacob Hauser-Ramsey.
