STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men’s soccer team will host its annual Media Day and free Coaches Clinic on Tuesday, Aug. 18, as announced by head coach Ray Reid on Tuesday.
Local media outlets and high school soccer coaches from all around will have the chance to watch the Huskies train from 8-10 a.m. at the practice field behind Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. The training session is being run in conjunction with the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association Coaching Clinic.
Following the conclusion of the practice session, there will be a question and answer session with either Reid, associate head coach John Deeley or Tim O’Donohue as well as media availability with several Connecticut players. A catered meal provided by the coaches association will be available during the Q&A, which will take place in between the practice field and Morrone Stadium.
The Huskies open up the 2015 preseason on Aug. 11 and will play a pair of exhibition matches against Rider (Aug. 16) and Syracuse (Aug. 22) before opening the season at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium against St. Francis (N.Y.) on Aug. 28.
