Connecticut Men's Soccer Team Hosts Media Day Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's soccer team held their annual media day Tuesday morning on the practice field by Joseph J. Morrone Stadium, where several local media outlets had the opportunity to watch the No. 5 Huskies practice.

In attendance were writers from the Willimantic Chronicle, the Hartford Courant, Huskies All-Access and the Daily Campus as well as UConn video services.

After practice reporters spoke with seniors Mamadou Diouf, Colin Bradley, George Fochive and Michael Mercado as well as juniors Allando Matheson, Adria Beso and goalkeeper Andre Blake.

Many local high school soccer coaches were also at Tuesday's practice to take in the action. Connecticut soccer coach Ray Reid addressed the coaches before practice and spoke with the media later in the morning.

The Huskies begin the season at Morrone Stadium next Friday, August 30th against Saint Francis. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
