STORRS, Conn. – The No. 3 University of Connecticut men’s soccer program will take on Bradley this Saturday, September, 14th at 7:00 p.m. at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. The game can be heard on WHUS.org, 91.7 fm. There will also be a live video stream at uconnhuskies.com.
Connecticut (2-0-1) is coming off a 0-0 draw with No. 10 Washington on Tuesday night. Andre Blake has played all 290 minute for the Huskies this season without allowing a goal. Both Husky goals this season have come from newcomers, with Cyle Larin and Edir DaGraca finding the back of the net.
Bradley (2-2-0) won its 12th consecutive season-opener on August 30th, downing New Hampshire 1-0 at home. The Braves were not ranked in the September 10th NSCAA poll, but received votes. Bradley has lost two consecutive matches and has not lost three in-a-row since 2010.
The Huskies are ranked No. 3 in the latest NSCAA poll and No. 1 in the Soccer America and TopDrawerSoccer.com rankings.
The match will represent the first-ever meeting between the two teams on the pitch.
Tuesday’s top-10 showdown was played in front of 2,584 fans at Morrone Stadium. Connecticut is averaging 3,351 fans per home match this season.
