Team of the Week List

STORRS, Conn. - UConn men's soccer senior Kwame Watson-Siriboe was named to the Soccer America Men's Team of the Week after earning BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts during the Huskies 2-0 showing last week.

Watson-Siriboe, who scored the Huskies' lone goal in their 1-0 win over then-No.18 St. John's on Friday night, helped UConn shutout both the Red Storm and the Syracuse Orange over the weekend. The Huskies recorded two wins over BIG EAST opponents with their 2-0 victory over the Orange to end the weekend.

The Huskies, now 4-2-2 on the year, held both opponents to just three shots on goal, while they moved into a three-way tie atop of the BIG EAST Blue Division with a 3-1-0 record in league play.

Watson-Siriboe and the Huskies return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 as Georgetown, another 3-1 BIG EAST team, comes to Morrone Stadium for a 7:00 p.m. match-up.
