PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior Robert Brickley was named this week's BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week as he led the UConn men's soccer team to its third straight victory and sixth shutout of the season in the Huskies' 1-0 win over Georgetown on Saturday night.

UConn, now 5-2-2 overall and 4-1-0 in BIG EAST play, shut down its third consecutive BIG EAST opponent, holding the then 13th-ranked Hoyas to just one shot on goal in the shutout victory.

This was the second weekly award for UConn this season and second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honor as senior Kwame Watson-Siriboe earned the title a week ago.

The Huskies will host Providence College on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Morrone Stadium as part of BIG EAST Conference play.
