STORRS, Conn. – UConn men’s soccer players Dylan Greenberg (Dix Hills, N.Y.) and Scott Levene (Stamford, Conn.) both earned weekly conference honors as announced by the league on Monday.

Greenberg, a freshman defender, was tabbed as the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week following his game-winner against Memphis (Oct. 4), while Levene was named the Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. The redshirt freshman keeper tallied a shutout in his first start ever against the Tigers to help the Huskies improve to 3-5-1 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play.

Monday’s announcement marks the first ever conference honor for Greenberg, who has started in each of Connecticut’s nine matches this season. His unassisted goal against the Tigers came in the 20th minute, as the UConn defender followed up on his own corner kick and slipped the ball past Memphis keeper Cody Uzcategui.

Levene, who became the second Connecticut keeper to win the conference accolade this season, finished the game against Memphis with four saves, helping UConn tally its second shutout of the season. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Jacob Wagmeister (River Edge, N.J.) took home the honor on Sept. 22.

The Huskies return to the pitch on Wednesday, as they travel to Cincinnati to face the Bearcats. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
