After extending its season-best winning streak to seven-straight with a 1-0 victory over Yale on Tuesday, the No. 13/24 UConn men’s soccer team returns to the pitch on Saturday, Oct. 15 when it hosts USF at 7 p.m. at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. The match will be broadcasted live on The American Digital Network with radio coverage on, 91.7 FM.

UConn Wraps Up Regular Season Play With 2-1 Win Over USF

UConn (9-3-0, 3-0-0 American) has won seven matches in-a-row, including five-straight shutout performances on the defensive end of the pitch. On Monday, UConn senior tri-captain Kwame Awuah (Toronto, Ont.) was named The American’s Offensive Player of the Week, while Niko Petridis (Norwalk, Conn.) earned a spot on the league’s weekly honor roll.

Saturday’s tilt will be the 17th time the two programs have met on the pitch and the sixth since the start of the 2014 campaign. The Huskies are 11-2-3 all-time against the Bulls, including a 2-1 victory in the last meeting in the league tournament semifinals in Tampa, Fla. in 2015.



During the Huskies’ winning streak, which stretches back to Sept. 17, the team has outscored its opponents by a 16-to-2 margin and posted five shutouts in-a-row. As a team, Connecticut holds a 0.53 goals against average and hasn’t let up a goal since the second-half against Rhode Island on Sept. 21.

USF enters the match-up with a 5-6-2 overall record, including a 2-1-0 mark in American play. The team was last in action on Tuesday in a 3-2 setback to Florida Golf Coast.
