STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men’s soccer program will host three elite clinics for all players in grades 9-12 and Junior College athletes on January 4th and 11th. The first UConn Elite Clinic will run from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the same facility. Session two, for goalkeepers only, will run from 12:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m. with registration opening up at 11:30 a.m. The final session on January 11th will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m. The cost is $65 for each session or $115 if attending two.

The UConn staff and world class players will be in attendance to help lead elite training sessions for players throughout the region grades 9-12. The clinic includes training, games and instructions throughout the sessions. All training will be conducted on the field turf in the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center on the Storrs campus. Cleats or turf shoes are recommended for the optimal performance. No metal studs will be allowed during training.
The UConn soccer program is one of the most dominant in the nation with three national championships to its name. The Huskies have won 19 BIG EAST Championships and have appeared in the NCAA Tournament 33 times, including the last 15 seasons.
